Nigeria: Tinubu newly appointed ministers commence documentation in preparation for swearing-in event on Monday.

Members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), consisting of 45 Ministers-designate, have initiated the process of documentation at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) in Abuja, in preparation for the upcoming swearing-in ceremony on Monday.

This documentation process, which began today, Saturday, will continue until Sunday, August 20, from 10 am to 4 pm daily.

In the preceding week, the Senate confirmed the appointments of 45 ministerial nominees from a list of 48 individuals submitted by President Tinubu for their consideration. However, the Senate deferred the confirmation of three nominees – Nasir El-Rufai from Kaduna State, Stella Okotete from Delta State, and Abubakar Sani Danladi from Taraba State – due to security-related concerns.

As a reminder, a statement released from the OSGF late Wednesday evening revealed that President Tinubu will officially administer the oath of office to the Ministers-designate at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, August 21, 2023.
